Antique/junk Stores
I have a bit of a mania for these types of stores. You know the stores I’m talking about-they sell junk. Or antiques. What kind of store it is depends on how dinged up the items are and how many mason jars are for sale.
Can’t tell you the name of this one, I can just tell you it’s on Main Street north of 35 here in San Antonio. It’s open from 11-5, Thursday through Monday. Those are some great hours, huh? Someone definitely went for the most bang for their buck when they made that decision.

Take a look at that! Overwhelming isn’t it? Well, there’s a dolphin on its tail, a billion chairs, a china cabinet and lots of other stuff. Oooh! Check out the mirrors over on the far wall!

They have *lots* of mirrors for sale. They’re less than $100, but it really depends on the mirror and perhaps the mood of the guy running the store.

I think my favorite piece is this piano though. Those motifs are Art Nouveau, and there are some gorgeous inlays too. It looked to be in good shape, although I don’t know how to judge pianos. I just know it needs to get out of the sunlight before it’s bleached out!
If you’re really nice to the guy, maybe he’ll show you the back room. It may not look like much, but I bet a few pieces could be found to make you really happy. Just keep your eyes peeled.

Here’s the front of the store..like I said, I don’t know what it’s called..”Antiques” maybe? Just drive north on Main from downtown and you’ll find it. Tell Billy I said hello. Yeah, that’s really his name.
