S. A. Woman-The City at Night
Well, I just got into town about an hour ago
Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Where the little girls in their Hollywood bungalows
Are you a lucky little lady in the City of Light
Or just another lost angel…City of Night
City of Night, City of Night, City of Night, woah, c’mon
I can’t remember. Have I told you yet I’m a Doors freak?
We went driving around last night to see what San Antonio was about after the sun went down. Most of our driving was around Flores St. People were out in bits and pieces, not too many. Just a few here and there.
I can’t tell you too many times how much I’ve fallen in love with this city. It suits me in all sorts of ways. The vibe is to my taste, man. This place feels relaxed and cool, friendly and busy..slow, so very slow. History hangs over your head and you see old and new literally joined at the hip. Fascinating. I think it’s a city for Geminis.

This is labeled the Fiesta building and it’s dated in the early 1900s. I wonder if it’s related to the actual Fiesta? Short history- Fiesta began in 1891 when some women rode in horse drawn carriages down the street in front of the Alamo throwing flowers at each other. What kind of insanity is that? And of course these days it’s one of the biggest parties of the year!

This one made me laugh. From what I understand of the sign, you could have had your mother serenaded by a mariachi band for mother’s day. I love it! How much does it cost!? Sign me up! I have no kids, but I’ll pretend!
Hope the band leader doesn’t mind the free advertising..
